Studiokonzert 4

In memoriam Oskar Czerwenka zu dessen 100. Geburtstag

Sunday 16. June 2024 11:00 One intermission Gustav-Mahler-Saal

About the concert

Founded in 2020, the Opera Studio is already an indispensable part of the Vienna State Opera's artistic profile.

Over the past two years, you have been able to experience the thirteen members and two pianists of the current, second year in numerous productions on the stage of the Haus am Ring, in children's operas, concerts and various Friends' Circle events. In this concert, the studio members bid farewell with a diverse cross-section of their work from the past two seasons. You will see some of the young singers again in the future as members of the ensemble, while others will be performing on international stages.

The Opera Studio of the Vienna State Opera is deeply indebted to the Czerwenka Private Foundation for its many years of generous support for the program and dedicates this final concert to the bass and namesake of the foundation, Oskar Czerwenka, who would have turned 100 this year.
