The Lithuanian soprano Vida Miknevičiūtė has developed into one of the most sought-after youthful dramatic sopranos in the world. She made her highly anticipated debut as Sieglinde (Die Walküre) at the 2024 Bayreuth Festival. In the 2024/25 season, she will sing Marietta (Die tote Stadt) at the Dvořák Festival in Prague, at the Bavarian State Opera, and in a new production at Zurich Opera. Additionally, she will perform Salome at the Vienna State Opera, the Finnish National Opera, and the Hamburg State Opera, as well as Chrysothemis (Elektra) at the State Opera Unter den Linden, Senta (The Flying Dutchman) at the International May Festival in Wiesbaden, and Hanna Glawari (The Merry Widow) in Zurich. She will make her U.S. debut as Sieglinde at the Santa Fe Opera House. In concert, she will perform Sieglinde with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House and appear with the Berlin Philharmonic in Wolfgang Rihm's Gehege.

Recently, she made her role debut as the Countess (Capriccio) at Victorian Opera in Melbourne and performed roles such as Lisa (Pique Dame) at the Semperoper, Jenůfa, Chrysothemis, Sieglinde, and Elsa (Lohengrin) at the Berlin State Opera, Senta and Salome at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, Sieglinde in Baden-Baden and at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Salome at La Scala in Milan, Chrysothemis, Giuditta, and Salome at the Bavarian State Opera, Chrysothemis at the Salzburg Festival, and Brünnhilde (Siegfried) with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra.

Vida Miknevičiūtė completed her vocal studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in Kaunas and at the University of Music in Leipzig. From 2005 to 2007, she was a member of the International Opera Studio at Zurich Opera and held guest contracts with the Festival Aix-en-Provence and Theater Basel. From 2008 to 2010, she was part of the Opera Studio at the Hamburg State Opera, and from 2011 to 2020, she was a member of the ensemble at the Mainz State Theatre.
