Sebastian Wendelin
Sebastian Wendelin, born in 1982 in Austria, has been performing on stages in German-speaking countries since the age of four, mainly as an actor, but also as a musician and mask player. For many years he was active in the independent scene in Vienna. Permanent ensemble contracts took him to the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and the Staatstheater Stuttgart in 2009-2015, where he worked with directors Armin Petras, Sebastian Baumgarten, Friederike Heller, Stefan Bachmann, Wolfgang Engel, Julia Hölscher, Simon Solberg, Roger Vontobel, among others. In 2017-2019 he was a permanent ensemble member at the Burgtheater Wien, where he appeared in the productions jedermann stirbt, Der Diener zweier Herren and Zelt. In 2008 he was awarded the Nestroy Theater Prize as the best young actor. At the Schauspielhaus Bochum he can be seen in Herbert (director: Herbert Fritsch) in 2020/21. His most recent television appearances include Tatort Wahre Lügen and a season of Walking on Sunshine.
