Nicola Rizzo
The Italian Nicola Rizzo was born in Genoa. He received his education from 2010 to 2017 in his hometown at the VivoDanza91 School as well as at the Ballet Academy and the Junior Company of the Vienna State Opera. Furthermore, he took part in courses and masterclasses such as Palinuro with Vladimir Derevianko and Bella Ratschinskaia and at Euroart in Rapallo with Vadim Desnitskj. He gained stage experiences in the matinee of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera in 2019 in Peter Breuer's »Bolero« and in 2022 in Martin Schläpfer's »Jamie«, an excerpt of »Raymonda« and in Christiana Stefanou's »Gioconda's Smile«. At the Vienna State Opera he performed also at the Opera Ball in 2019 and 2020, in Benjamin Brittan's »A Midsummer Night's Dream«, the operetta »Die Fledermaus«, the role of the young dancer in Richard Strauss' opera »Capriccio«, the concert »20 Years Opera School« as well as in the ballets »La Fille mal gardée« and »Swan Lake«. At the Volksoper Wien he took part in Vesna Orlić's »Tausendundeine Nacht«. Since the 2022/23 season he has been a member of the corps de ballet of the Vienna State Ballet. He danced so far, a solo part in the opera »Aida« and in Lotte de Beer's & Andrey Kaydanovskiy's »Jolanthe and the Nutcracker«.
