Maria Zherebiateva

The Russian soprano Maria Zherebiateva was born in 1996 in Saint Petersburg and spent her childhood in Tambov. She completed her studies at the Tambov College of Arts in 2016 and graduated from the Voronezh Institute of Arts in 2020. From 2021 to 2024, she was an artist at the Galina Vishnevskaya Center in Moscow, where she performed roles such as Micaela in Carmen, Marfa in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride, Mimi in La Bohème, Iolanta in Iolanta, and Tatiana in Eugene Onegin. In 2022, she was heard as Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi under the direction of Marco Boemi. She also participated in masterclasses at the IV International Music Festival by Ildar Abdrazakov (Saint Petersburg, 2023), the International Mstislav Rostropovich Festival (Orenburg, 2022/2023), and the Galina Vishnevskaya Festival (Saint Petersburg, 2023).

Starting in the 2024/25 season, Maria Zherebiateva will be a member of the Opernstudio at the Vienna State Opera.
