As winner of several music competitions, Maria Agresta made her official debut in 2007. Her international breakthrough came in 2011 at the latest in I vespri siciliani - since then she has been regularly invited to all the world's major stages. She has sung Mimì (La bohème) at La Scala in Milan, the Met in New York, the Bavarian State Opera, in Paris, Naples, Turin, Venice, Torre del Lago, Tel Aviv and in the Arena di Verona, Leonora (Il trovatore) in Valencia, Madrid and Milan, Violetta (La traviata) at the Berlin and Bavarian State Operas and in Verona, Elvira (Don Giovanni) at La Scala in Milan, Norma in Tel Aviv, Turin, Paris. Madrid and Zurich, Gemma (Gemma di Vergy) in Bergamo, Amelia (Simon Boccanegra) in Rome and Dresden, Juli (La vestale) in Dresden, Amalia (I masnadieri) in Venice, Leonora (Oberto Conte di San Bonifacio) at La Scala, Desdemona (Otello) in Valencia, Zurich and Genoa, Elvira (I puritani) at the Opéra Bastille in Paris, Lucrezia (I due Foscari) at London's Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Liù (Turandot) at La Scala, the Met and Lyric Opera in Chicago, Elisabetta (Don Carlo) in Madrid and Venice, Tosca at the Opéra de Paris and in Madrid, Adriana Lecouvreur at La Scala, Madama Butterfly in London and at ABAO Bilbao Opera. Current engagements include her debut in Aida at Teatro Real de Madrid and Il tabarro at Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Maria Agresta was awarded the »Franco Abbiati« prize and the »Luigi Illica« prize.
