Laura Nistor
Laura Nistor was born in Baraolt (Rumania). After her education at the Hungarian Dance Academy she joined the Ballett der Wiener Staatsoper und Volksoper – since 2010/11 the Vienna State Ballet – in 2008.
Her repertory comprises roles such as Big swan and Noble lady in Rudolf Nureyev’s »Swan Lake«, Pastorale in Nureyev’s »The Nutcracker«, Grand Pas classique hongrois in Nureyev’s »Raymonda«, Giselleʼs friend in Elena Tchernichovaʼs »Giselle«, Swanildaʼs friend in Pierre Lacotteʼs »Coppélia«, Lily Girl in John Cranko’s »Romeo and Juliet«, elf in Michael Corder’s »The Snow Queen« and Madame Elisabeth in Patrick de Bana’s »Marie Antoinette«. Furthermore, she danced parts in George Balanchine’s »Valse Fantaisie«, »Allegro Brilliante« and »Symphony in C«, Roland Petit’s »La Chauve-souris«, Harald Lander’s »Études«, Rudolf Nureyev’s »Don Quixote«, Kenneth MacMillan’s »Mayerling«, John Cranko’s »Onegin«, Jerome Robbins’ »The Concert« and »The Four Seasons«, John Neumeier’s »Verklungene Feste« and »Josephs Legende«, Stephan Thoss’ »Blaubarts Geheimnis«, Manuel Legris’ »Le Corsaire«, Serge Lifar’s »Suite en Blanc'«, José Martinez’ »Delibes Suite« and Martin Schläpfer's »4«, »The Seasons« and »The Sleeping Beauty« as well as excerpts of Maurice Béjart’s »Arepo«, Pierre Lacotte’s »La Vivandière«, Marius Petipa’s »Die Bajadere'« and »Le Corsaire«.
Her awards include 1st Prizes at the International Competition of the Hungarian Dance Academy (2005) and at the OETR- Contest in Vienna (2007).
