Katharina Miffek
Katharina Miffek was born in Vienna. From 2005 to 2016 she was educated at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Operaand was directly employed at the Vienna State Ballet. Her most important roles comprise Big Swan in Rudolf Nureyev‘s »Swan Lake, Fairy Coulante and the Forest Lady in Martin Schläpfer's »The Sleeping Beauty«, Bathilde in Elena Tchernichovaʼs »Giselle«, Petruschkaʼs Wife in Eno Peciʼs »Petruschka« and Athenian Couple in Jorma Eloʼs »A Midsummer Night’s Dream«. Moreover, she was dancing parts in Williams Forsytheʼs »Artifact Suite«, Daniel Proiettoʼs »Blanc«, Kenneth MacMillanʼs »Concerto«, Rudolf Nureyev‘s »The Nutcracker« and »Raymonda«, Elena Tchernichovaʼs »Giselle«, John Neumeierʼs »Josephs Legende«, »Le Pavillon dʼArmide« and »Le Sacre«, Pierre Lacotteʼs »Coppélia«, Boris Eifmanʼs »Giselle Rouge«, Patrick de Banaʼs »Marie Antoinette«, Frederick Ashtonʼs »La Fille mal gardée«, Roland Petitʼs »Die Fledermaus«, Manuel Legrisʼ »Le Corsaire« and »Sylvia«, John Crankoʼs »Onegin«, Edward Clugʼs »Peer Gynt«, George Balanchineʼs »Symphony in C«, »Theme and Variations«, «, »Jewels«, »Symphony in Three Movements« and »Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet«, Jerome Robbinsʼ »The Four Seasons« and »Glass Pieces«, Merce Cunningham's »Duets« as well as Martin Schläpfer's world premieres of »4«, »Symphony Nr. 15« and »The Seasons«.
