The British baritone Huw Montague Rendall is one of the most exciting talents of recent years. He performs on some of the world’s most important stages, such as the Royal Opera House in London, Covent Garden, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Opéra National de Paris, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Bavarian and Hamburg State Operas, the Komische Oper Berlin, the Teatro Real in Madrid, and at festivals in Aix-en-Provence, Salzburg, and Glyndebourne. The winner of the 2024 Oper! Award for Best Newcomer, he recently released his debut album Contemplation with Warner/Erato. Major engagements of the current season include Count in Le nozze di Figaro in London, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande in Paris, Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus in Baden-Baden and Paris; Count in Le nozze di Figaro at the Glyndebourne Festival, and his debut at the Wigmore Hall. Highlights of past seasons include Eisenstein in Hamburg, at the Teatro Real and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, his debut at the Bavarian State Opera, Don Giovanni at the Opéra de Rouen, and Pelléas at the Aix-en-Provence Festival.
