ÉTIENNE DUPUIS completed his vocal studies at McGill University, after which he became a member of the Atelier Lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal. Today, he can be heard regularly at such renowned opera houses as the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Opéra national de Paris, the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in London, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich and the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Recent appearances include the title role in Pelléas et Mélisande, Belcore (Elisir d'amore) and the title role in Don Giovanni in Paris, Marcello (La Bohème) in London, New York and Madrid, Figaro (Barbiere di Siviglia) in Munich, New York and Berlin, Germont (La traviata), title role in Eugene Onegin, Pelléas, Posa (Don Carlo), Valentin (Faust) in Berlin, Eugene Onegin in Montréal. He made his debut at the Vienna State Opera in 2021 as Valentin in the premiere of Faust. Other important engagements have taken him to the Sydney Opera House, the Zurich Opera House, the Opéra de Nantes and the Opéra national du Rhin, among others. His extensive discography includes the solo CD Love Blows as the Wind Blows.
