Chiara Uderzo
The Italian Chiara Uderzo received her education at Studiodanza Verona, Balletto di Verona and the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera where she has been nominated for best student in 2016 and 2017. In the same year she won the 1st prize at the European Ballet Grand Prix Vienna. After her graduation in 2017 she became a member of the Junior Company of the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera. Only six months later, in March 2018, she has been engaged by the Vienna State Ballet. Her repertoire comprises Odalisque in Manuel Legris' »Le Corsaire«, Swanildaʼs friend and a bride in Pierre Lacotte's »Coppélia«, the fairy Violente in Martin Schläpfer's »The Sleeping Beauty«, Hungarian Dance (soloist) in Rudolf Nureyev‘s »Swan Lake« and parts in George Balanchine's »Symphony in C«, »Stravinsky Violin Concerto« and »Jewels«, Rudolf Nureyev‘s »The Nutcracker« and »Raymonda«, Elena Tchernichovaʼs »Giselle«, Edward Clug’s »Peer Gynt«, William Forsythe's »Artifact Suite«, Jerome Robbins' »Glass Pieces« and »The Concert«, John Cranko's »Onegin«, Frederick Ashton's »La Fille mal gardée«, Paul Taylor's »Promethean Fire«, Ohad Naharinʼs »Tabula Rasa«, Lucinda Childsʼ »Concerto« as well as Martin Schläpfer's »4«, »Ein Deutsches Requiem« and »The Seasons«.
