Andrew Turner

Andrew is from Tacoma, WA, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Washington State University as well as a Master of Music from the University of Illinois. He is currently completing his studies with a diploma at the Juilliard School in New York.

In the 2022-2023 season, he performed the role of Miles Zegner in Missy Mazzoli's Proving Up and covered the role of Rinuccio in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi. In 2024, he will sing the role of Eli in Gregory Spears' new opera The Righteous at the Santa Fe Opera, make his debut as Tybalt in Gounod's Romeo et Juliette at the Dallas Opera, and perform the title role in La Clemenza di Tito at the Juilliard School.

He made his debut at Des Moines Metro Opera in 2019 as Parpignol in La Bohème and in 2021 sang the roles of Tchaplitsky in Pique Dame and Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd.

Andrew Turner was a Resident Artist at Pittsburgh Opera during the 2021-2022 season. His roles there included First Priest/First Armored Man (The Magic Flute), The Beloved/Horus (The Rose Elf), Policeman/The Man (In a Grove), Remendado (Carmen), and Policeman/Buddy #1 (Blue).

Starting in the 2024/25 season, Andrew Turner will join the Vienna State Opera’s Opera Studio as a Fellow of the Opera Foundation New York.
