Ana Garotić

Born on the 14th of July in 2000, in Belgrade, Serbia, Ana Garotić is an exceptional young soprano known for her passionate performances and profound interpretations. With an outstanding educational background and impressive achievements on both national and international stages, Ana continues her musical journey, currently pursuing a Master's degree in vocal performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.

Ana Garotić began her musical education in her hometown of Belgrade and continued her studies in Vienna, where she completed her Bachelor's degree in 2023 under the guidance of Prof. Gabriele Lechner. She is currently honing her skills in the Master's program, studying with Prof. Claudia Visca to further refine her artistic expression and technique.

Early in her career, Ana Garotić received numerous accolades recognizing her exceptional talent. In 2022, she was a finalist in the prestigious »Montserrat Caballé« competition and received a special award as the best soprano at the »Ferruccio Tagliavini« Singing Competition in Deutschlandsberg in the same year. Other significant honors include first prize at the national competition for music students in Serbia (2017) and multiple first prizes at international competitions in 2015 and 2016.

Ana made her debut in 2023 as Micaela in Carmen at the Opera in the Quarry in St. Margarethen. In addition to various concerts in Vienna, Ana has performed at the National Theatre in Belgrade and the Ljubljana Philharmonic.

Starting in the 2024/25 season, Ana Garotić will be a member of the Opernstudio of the Vienna State Opera.
