Programme
KS Erwin Schrott is a small universe in himself. He is primarily known—as expected—as an opera singer. But he also shines as a soloist in concerts. He captivates as a grand and charismatic performer, and not least as a focused and dedicated conversational partner who always addresses both the details and the broader aspects of music. At the house on the Ring, he has been seen in numerous roles: among others, as Escamillo in Carmen, Méphistophélès in Faust, Procida in Vespri siciliani, Scarpia in Tosca, and Dulcamara in Elisir d’amore. Now he is returning not only (for the first time!) as Don Pasquale to the Vienna State Opera, but he will also sing a solo concert in December. And anyone who has experienced such a concert with the world star knows what kind of artistic fireworks to expect!
